The academic program of specialization in Byzantine History consists of optional courses. For the completion of the program, which corresponds to a total of 120 ECTS and provides a Master’s thesis, the student must successfully attend:
i) two compulsory courses during the 1^st semester
ii) two compulsory courses during the 2st semester
iii) two compulsory courses during the 3^rd semester
iv) must write and present a Master’s thesis during the 4^th semester.
The student must successfully attend four courses in Byzantine History, one in Byzantine Archaeology and Art and one in Byzantine Philology.

Every compulsory prostgraduate course, in both specializations of the Postgraduate Program of Byzantine Studies, corresponds to 15ECTS. The Master’s Thesis corresponds to 30 ECTS, while the Postgraduate Program of Byzantine Studies corresponds to a total of 120 ECTS
