Short CV
I was born in Athens. I earned my bachelor's degree at the Department of Archaeology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina. I continued my studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where I earned my Post-graduate (M.A.) Specialisation in Byzantine Archaeology and subsequently defended my PhD thesis, and at Philipps Universität Marburg (Germany), where I wrote my Habilitation. I was employed for two years as an Archaeologist at the Byzantine and Christian Museum (Athens). I taught independent courses on Christian Archaeology and Byzantine Art History at Philipps Universität Marburg, where I have been a privatdozent since 2010. Since 2009, I have served as an assistant professor of Byzantine Archaeology and Art at the Department of History and Archaeology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina.
